Absolutely fabulous! Susan gives SO much of herself! She gave us blood, sweat and tears, practically.
The format was loose yet well constructed. She constantly checked with everyone involved to be sure that everyone was getting what they needed and wanted out of the weekend.
Any time there was a question, she was sure that it was answered to the person’s satisfaction. If she felt someone missed something (there were a couple people that missed a portion due to other commitments) she was sure to go over what was covered.
Watching Susan work was just amazing. The way she interacts with people could be a course in and of itself. She is incredibly intelligent and charismatic. WOW can she talk to people! I saw her tell someone off for being more than just a little ignorant, at the the end of it, THEY GUY SMILED, LAUGHED AND PRACTICALLY THANKED HER! It was amazing.
She made everyone feel like they had become her friend, not just her pupil. I think everyone was comfortable and at ease. I know that I was NEVER irritated by anyone or any thing that weekend. THAT’S an accomplishment with a group of several women.
She is more than willing to share her “secrets”. She takes the hand of those coming up the ladder behind her instead of stepping on her fingers. THAT’S class.
I learned SO much. It was fantastic!

It was a fantastic workshop and I am SO glad I went. Every single thing I had questions about was addressed. Susan doesn’t hold back anything, from her photography methods, to her photoshop processing. She checked in with us very frequently to be sure we were having our needs met and to find out if we were having a good time. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I learned so much at this workshop. It was great! Susan shared so much of her knowledge of outdoor lighting with us! She made sure she had a good ratio between attendees and models. We shot images all weekend…definitely a “hands-on” workshop! She was careful to give each person individualized attention to make sure you got what you needed out of the time spent together. She also did a great job at adjusting her workshop to the needs of the group by requesting information prior to starting as to what each photographer was hoping to attain. She exceeded my expectations and gave me a confidence to shoot outdoors that I didn’t have prior to our workshop! I would highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a casual and hands-on workshop.

Susan was fabulous! She was an open book, willing to share everything she knows. She provided a very hands-on learning environment and checked with us often to make sure she was meeting our needs. The atmosphere was completely casual. I never felt stressed or silly asking a question. The workshop size was small, giving all of us direct and continuous access with Susan and the models. She went far above and beyond any expectations I had. Susan has given me knowledge and confidence that I didn’t have prior to our weekend in regards to shooting outdoors and using available light. I would highly recommend her workshop to anyone with an interest in outdoor photography.

Susan is a wonderful teacher…able to answer both technical questions and see things creatively..quite a combination. The workshop was small so everyone had a chance to ask their questions and get some of Susan’s attention.

I have been to quite a few classes and workshops with others and I just appreciate the way Susan teaches so much. It is very hands on and she is so easy to talk to and ask questions. When she shows me how to do something she just has a way about how she presents the info, I just “get” it. I have had many the “ah ha” moment with Susan.
I recently attended Susan’s Miami workshop. The workshop was absolutely wonderful. Susan took the time to answer every and each one of our questions. She was extremely charismatic and approachable, which made us all feel very comfortable. She also handed out a workshop book which had great content and covered everything taught in the workshop and some more. She made sure that the models were comfortable and took the time to explain her shooting techniques while shooting the models. Susan never held back and answered every question we had, she even stayed late(till midnight) answering my questions. The workshop was very hands on and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to be instructed by Susan.
